What you will do

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend APIs and services with a focus on IBM Cloud.
• Collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams to design intuitive and maintainable interfaces.
• Influence long-term architecture regarding IAM, authentication, and service-to-service patterns.
• Champion quality, simplicity, and clarity in system design and data modeling.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentorship.
• Guide the evolution of managed service capabilities in cloud environments.

Requirements

• Must be based in Italy.
• Experience designing and building distributed backend systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Strong grasp of cloud fundamentals, IAM, and access patterns (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, RBAC).
• Experience with SaaS operations and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores.

Nice to have

• Experience with IBM Cloud IAM.
• Interest in Cloud Security (CSPM/CDR/CIEM).
• Experience with high-throughput or data-heavy systems.
