What you will do
- Own the technical master execution track by mapping complex technical workflows and translating broad milestones into granular week-by-week plans.
- Consolidate technical data into a unified source of truth to align cross-functional stakeholders and support leadership decisions on design, process engineering, and capital projects.
- Manage multi-project constraints through resource reconciliation, maintain risk registers, and run technical alignment meetings to track progress against program priorities.
- Communicate technical readiness, execution risks, and critical roadblocks using standardized visibility tools (dashboards, weekly metrics, centralized documentation).
- Drive completion of technical handshakes and integrate quality standards (e.g., APQP, ISO compliance) into daily engineering workflows, ensuring key documents are finalized before high-volume manufacturing handover.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, R&D, or technology scale-up environments (e.g., batteries, semiconductors, chemical processing, automotive, or complex hardware-plus-process industries).
- 3+ years leading technical workflows, product/process development tracks, or complex project management lifecycles.
- Strong ability to orchestrate execution across R&D, Process Integration, Product Management, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality using program/project management frameworks.
- Proven matrix navigation skills with proactive problem solving for early identification of resource and schedule constraints.
- Technical fluency to understand engineering dependencies and risks across early-stage development and scaling phases, plus the ability to distill complex data for executive decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering/physical science field.
Culture & Benefits
- Onsite role with a regular Monday–Friday schedule (9:00am–6:00pm) in Alameda, CA.
- Competitive Total Rewards package including base pay, benefits, perks, and equity.
- Inclusive, equal opportunity employment with consideration of qualified applicants regardless of protected status.
- Work includes lab and manufacturing-adjacent physical requirements (PPE, lifting with equipment, and movement within facilities).
Hiring process
- Interviews focused on program execution experience, technical fluency, and cross-functional leadership in matrix environments.
- Evaluation of ability to translate technical milestones into actionable execution plans and manage risks/resources across overlapping projects.
