TL;DR
IT Operations Manager (Healthtech): Building and managing the company's entire IT infrastructure, including identity, device fleet, and security compliance with an accent on scaling SaaS operations and hardware lifecycles. Focus on automating onboarding/offboarding, maintaining SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance, and designing a scalable IT function from scratch.
Location: Hybrid (New York, NY) - in-person collaboration 4 days per week
Salary: $140,000 – $175,000

What you will do
- Administer the full SaaS portfolio (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Notion) and identity management via Okta.
- Manage the Mac hardware lifecycle using MDM tools such as Jamf, Kandji, or Intune, including procurement and asset tracking.
- Ensure security and compliance for SOC 2 and HIPAA, handling access reviews, audit evidence, and vendor security reviews.
- Own the IT budget, vendor relationships, and the overall roadmap for the IT function.
- Maintain office IT infrastructure, including network, Wi-Fi, and conference-room AV, including overseeing an upcoming office move.
- Automate repetitive operational toil using scripting (Python), APIs, and AI tooling.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT operations experience at a startup or high-growth tech company as the primary IT owner.
- Hands-on depth with identity tools (Okta/SSO/MFA), MDM (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune), and corporate SaaS.
- Proven track record of owning onboarding/offboarding and endpoint security end-to-end.
- Experience supporting compliance in regulated environments, specifically SOC 2 and/or HIPAA.
- Experience with vendor management and budget ownership.
- Must be based in New York, NY for a hybrid arrangement (4 days per week in-office).

- Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or other regulated industries.
- Deep expertise in networking and conference-room AV systems.
- Knowledge of HRIS integrations, IaC (Terraform), or compliance platforms like Vanta and Secureframe.
