What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans and manage the full application process from start to finish.
• Identify and meet with prospects through direct outreach and referrals from realtors, developers, and attorneys.
• Evaluate individual client needs to recommend the most suitable mortgage products and services.
• Underwrite loans using point-of-sale systems and communicate loan decisions directly to customers.
• Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and closing agents to ensure a smooth application and closing process.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve established production goals.

Requirements

• Must be based in Newark, New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in mortgage origination.
• Eligibility for registration as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.
• Proven ability in sales and high-level negotiation skills.
• Satisfactory results on criminal background and credit report checks.
