About us:

Happy Numbers is an educational platform that helps over 2 million students in 10,000+ schools across the U.S. and Canada learn math and English language arts. Our goal is simple: to make quality education accessible to every child, regardless of background, and to give teachers and school leaders easy-to-use tools to track progress and support learning.

Our ELA (English Language Arts) platform is growing, and we are looking for a Learning Experience Designer with strong digital expertise and a background in teaching English to children. In this role, you’ll create fun and engaging digital lessons that help young learners build their reading skills. You’ll work closely with experienced ELA experts to design content that is creative, interactive, and truly connects with students.



What You’ll Do:

• Dive into the U.S. elementary school education system and curriculum requirements;
• Design and develop digital lesson plans for elementary school students;
• Create engaging, interactive tasks and activities to teach reading and writing;
• Collaborate with designers, illustrators, and developers to bring your lessons to life;
• Test and refine the content based on feedback and educational data;
• Work with market experts like voice actors, proofreaders, and teachers to ensure quality.

What We’re Looking For:

• You live outside Russia and Belarus;
• English proficiency at C1 level;
• A background in education or linguistics;
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a teacher of English;
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a learning experience designer in EdTech;
• Ability to engage young learners effectively while managing cognitive workload;
• Ability to use data insights to enhance educational content;
• Proficiency with tools like Google Drive, Notion, and Miro, and willingness to learn new tools like Figma and Jira.

Bonus Points:

• Knowledge of basic game design principles;
• Additional training in Learning Experience Design (LXD);
• Research experience in educational methodology.
