Sr. Software Engineer in Test

Location: San Diego, California, United States; telecommuting or working from home may be permissible under company policy, with a hybrid working policy applying to the role.

Salary: $199,726–$251,600 per year, plus potential bonus.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable automation frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing of the PlayStation Direct eCommerce platform.
• Develop automated tests for backend and frontend services using Java, TestNG, Maven, Selenium, Cucumber, and Page Object Model architecture.
• Build end-to-end API tests for RESTful services using Postman and REST-assured.
• Validate JSON and XML payloads, authentication flows, and business logic across microservices.
• Integrate automation frameworks into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation after deployments.
• Analyze test failures and production issues, improving test stability, coverage, execution efficiency, and product quality.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of experience designing and implementing robust, scalable automation test frameworks.
• Experience with Java, TestNG, Maven, Selenium, Cucumber, and Page Object Model architecture.
• Experience with REST API testing, Postman, REST-assured, JSON, XML, authentication, and microservices.
• Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and applying data-driven testing principles.
• Experience converting manual test cases into automated scripts and participating in agile ceremonies.
