What you will do

• Manage a full caseload of legal costs from inception to resolution.
• Develop clear costs strategies and settlement parameters for each case.
• Prepare Points of Dispute and assess opponent replies.
• Lead telephone negotiations to secure favorable settlements for clients.
• Conduct advocacy in court, attend hearings, mediations, and conferences.
• Support and mentor junior team members through task delegation and guidance.

Requirements

• At least 12 months’ experience as a Costs Negotiator managing an independent caseload.
• Knowledge of the detailed assessment process and Points of Dispute.
• Proficiency in costs law, insurance litigation, and legal processes.
• Degree, LPC, ALCD, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Must be able to work hybridly from Bolton, Birmingham, or Liverpool.
• Strong telephone negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
