What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy automated test systems for complex embedded electronic assemblies.
• Create production and repair test software using C/C++ and LabVIEW.
• Develop custom test fixtures, adapters, and interface hardware including JTAG and boundary scan solutions.
• Perform component-level root cause analysis and debug analog and digital circuitry.
• Support production ramps and drive improvements in test coverage, yield, and system uptime.
• Assist with product evaluations, obsolescence investigations, and technical feasibility studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics hardware testing or sustaining engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and LabVIEW.
• Expertise in reading schematics and debugging embedded processor-based hardware.
• Strong board-level/component-level troubleshooting skills for analog and digital circuits.
• Must be able to work onsite in Livermore, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with firmware development.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or ruggedized embedded systems.
• Familiarity with VME, CompactPCI, or VPX platforms.
• Experience reverse engineering legacy test systems.
