What you will do

• Build software and firmware for customer-shipped hardware devices.
• Own the full engineering cycle, including scoping, architecture, and low-level design.
• Implement test-driven and data-driven development methods for high-quality products.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to ship user-centric features.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to other parts of the stack, such as backend services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of work experience in an embedded engineering role.
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Go.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, five days per week.
• Proven track record of owning software features from development to production launch.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of low-level interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART.
• Experience with FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux.
• Experience with networking and wireless communication protocols.
• Proficiency in Go and Python.
• Basic electrical engineering skills, including the ability to read schematics.
