Staff Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote; US-based employment indicators apply.

Salary: $126,490–$171,134 per year.

What you will do

• Own architectural direction for complex, cross-cutting Wealth Foundations initiatives, including API modernization and cloud transformation.
• Design software systems, integration patterns, specifications, standards, and resilient architecture across a diverse engineering ecosystem.
• Lead development of architecturally significant components, frameworks, libraries, and critical-path technology.
• Coordinate solutions across product teams and enterprise architecture while supporting product planning and technical user stories.
• Lead critical incident resolution, improve stability and scalability, and expand CI/CD practices.
• Evaluate technology vendors, define platform roadmaps, mentor engineers, and contribute to recruiting and technical training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience developing detailed software engineering plans from abstract concepts.
• Experience architecting solutions with performance SLOs, high availability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies.
• Experience managing large-scale projects and communicating complex technical concepts to broad audiences and senior management.
• Strong conceptual, critical-thinking, technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring team members.
