What you will do

• Partner with sales teams as the primary technical and domain expert to articulate the value of Okta solutions.
• Deliver customized product demonstrations and answer complex technical inquiries from customers and partners.
• Plan and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) for complex use cases in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Provide actionable feedback to product management regarding enhancements and market differentiation.
• Support marketing events, executive briefings, and trade shows as a subject matter expert.
• Develop and share reusable assets and best practices to improve team efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in a customer-facing capacity.
• Must be based in the US with the ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Deep understanding of network security protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and LDAP.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in web or backend development (e.g., JavaScript, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
• Practical knowledge of Active Directory, Federation services, and Windows Server management.
• Background in DevOps practices, database security, and Linux/UNIX environments.
