Production Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise hourly production shift employees and continuous improvement teams.
• Direct daily production activities including safety, quality, throughput, and maintenance.
• Manage employee performance through training, teamwork, and progressive discipline.
• Schedule, plan, and lead improvement teams and small projects.
• Troubleshoot production problems and maintain positive employee-management relationships.
• Manage employee hours, scheduling, and payroll using the UltiPro system.

Requirements

• Must be based in Hammond, IN, USA
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Proven ability to implement change and motivate department employees.
• Ability to close and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Lean Six Sigma training.
• 3-5 years of experience leading and supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.
