What you will do
- Manage daily manufacturing operations and respond to production plans.
- Lead and develop teams of employees to ensure operational excellence.
- Drive accountability through people and processes, including handling performance management.
- Oversee quality assurance, inspection, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Apply Global Manufacturing Systems to maintain safety, quality, and cost standards.
- Navigate fast-paced environments with competing priorities and ambiguity.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Must be able to work onsite in Lansing, Michigan.
- Minimum one year of direct supervisory experience or 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Experience supervising in a union environment.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement (CIP) knowledge.
- Supply Chain or Quality assurance experience.
- Red X or DFSS Certification.
