What you will do

• Lead and mentor a diverse team in lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.
• Scale manufacturing capacity while optimizing costs and maintaining high quality standards.
• Manage major projects including new program launches, facility optimization, and vendor management.
• Drive collaboration between design, production, and service teams to resolve technical issues.
• Implement digital tooling and automation to improve production efficiency.
• Oversee technical transfers to contract manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing environments.
• 4+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
• Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen and value stream mapping.
• Strong knowledge of electronic hardware integration, ERP, PDM, and CAD technologies.
• Must be able to work onsite in Ann Arbor, MI with moderate travel requirements (11-25%).

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with ADAS and low-level vehicle actuation.
• Familiarity with agile engineering development processes.
