TL;DR

Solar & BESS Technician I (Energy): Performing corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on utility-scale energy storage systems and substations with an accent on electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration, and equipment operation. Focus on ensuring site safety, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the reliability of carbon-free energy infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute daily to Dateland, AZ

What you will do

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on inverters, transformers, battery modules, and collection equipment.
Implement switching and clearance orders to ensure safe operations.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, control circuits, and instrumentation.
Operate and maintain power plant systems according to safety and environmental standards.
Document maintenance activities and procedures within the management system.
Assist with site vegetation management and general facility upkeep.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to commute daily to the site in Dateland, AZ.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Experience with electrical systems, LOTO, and basic safety principles.
Technical proficiency with standard business software and SCADA systems.
Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, lifting, and working in varied environmental conditions.

Nice to have

Technical degree or certifications in Solar or Energy Storage.
Experience in energy storage system installation.
Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.
