Scientific Business Analyst

Location: Australia; based within commuting distance of Melbourne and working on a hybrid basis

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise for global scientific platforms supporting a life-sciences client.
• Gather and document requirements, create process maps, and translate scientific workflows into system workflows.
• Develop, implement, validate, and maintain scientific technology solutions in line with governance frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external developers during solution design and implementation.
• Design and deliver training materials and sessions to support user adoption and standardization.
• Use data analysis tools such as SQL or Python and apply laboratory systems knowledge to solve business and technical problems.

Requirements

• Experience with scientific laboratory workflows in the life-sciences sector.
• Business analysis experience, including requirements gathering and documentation.
• Laboratory experience with applications such as ELN, LIMS, MES, or instrument data software such as Unicorn, Empower, Chromeleon, or OSI-Pi.
• Experience in GxP-validated or otherwise compliant environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, change management, and structured problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analysis using SQL or Python.
• Experience with computer systems testing.
