What you will do

• Architect and design innovative features for Layer1 physical connectivity.
• Develop and maintain software using C, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams to bring new Phys and Transceivers to market.
• Build automated tests and infrastructure to ensure high-quality feature delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Analyze and resolve complex network problems in collaboration with customers and support teams.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience (or equivalent) in software engineering.
• Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in small, collaborative teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital communication technologies (modulation, signal encoding).
• Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Experience working with low-level hardware components.
