What you will do

• Ensure safe and efficient facility operations during an assigned rotating 12-hour shift, including routine plant tours and oversight of personnel.
• Monitor boilers, turbine, and steam plant operations while operating within safety regulations, environmental limits, and permits.
• Lead emergency response to injuries or accidents and direct or personally perform required operations during unusual events.
• Complete shift, daily, weekly, and monthly checks; approve equipment removal from service for maintenance with proper clearance, tagging, and safety permits.
• Troubleshoot plant operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Train and manage a motivated, flexible, cross-trained workforce with strong technical capability.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electrical generation, plus formal technical training (engineering degree desirable).
• Must obtain and maintain an ASME QRO Provisional & Site-Specific Operators license.
• Detailed knowledge of steam generating power stations and instrument/control systems; ability to originate and monitor plant procedures and technical instructions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with problem-solving and decision-making ability.
