TL;DR

Principal Consultant (Energy Supply Chain): Leading complex consulting engagements for energy and natural resources clients with an accent on supply chain optimization, project delivery, and strategic business development. Focus on managing high-impact client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and driving revenue growth through data-driven insights.

Location: Must be based in or near Calgary, Houston, Boston, or New York and able to work in a hybrid capacity (2-3 days per week in office). Travel requirement: 60-80%. No visa sponsorship provided.

What you will do

  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality analytical solutions and presentations to energy clients.
  • Manage client relationships across all levels, from C-Suite to operational teams.
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff to ensure successful project execution and professional development.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans, objectives, and deliverables for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Monitor project progress, including revenue recognition and profitability metrics.
  • Identify and close opportunities for additional consulting services and product sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering.
  • Proven experience in Power & Renewables or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Strong technical writing and ability to construct high-impact storylines.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing dynamic, cohesive teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the location of employment without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in business development and closing consulting deals.
