What you will do

• Provide market sector leadership for the utility and energy consulting practice, focusing on DOE and Federal Grant funding services.
• Lead grant management responsibilities including business development, proposal capture, contract negotiation, and fee administration.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new funding opportunities and regulatory changes across energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Manage staff roles, responsibilities, and supervise the quality and timeliness of deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.
• Implement process discipline and systems for managing operations through technology tools and written guidance.
• Supervise financial and programmatic audits of grant programs on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Department of Energy (DOE) funding program management (e.g., IRA, IIJA, OCED, Grid Resilience).
• Subject matter expert level of Federal grant compliance, specifically 2 CFR 200 and associated audit processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in grant management, public administration, or compliance auditing.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams within private consulting services.
• Experience in designing, implementing, or auditing publicly funded programs for clients.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Law.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in grant management or compliance.
• Advanced analytical and persuasive writing skills for reports and procedure drafting.
