Cost Accountant (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Office-based in Austin, Houston, or Lewisville, Texas, in accordance with onsite/hybrid work requirements.

What you will do

• Perform month-end close activities related to cost accounting.
• Prepare financial analyses covering manufacturing costs, inventory, expenses, profitability, and pricing.
• Set up and maintain raw material, packaging, work-in-progress, and finished-goods items, including production BOMs, routings, and periodic cost updates.
• Analyze product design, material, manufacturing method, and service changes and their impact on costs.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for finished goods and production components in a worldwide ERP system.
• Improve manufacturing cost and inventory valuation processes, controls, policies, procedures, and system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years preferred in cost accounting.
• 3+ years of operational experience, especially with inventory.
• Hands-on ERP experience; NetSuite and/or Oracle preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general accounting concepts, advanced Excel, financial modeling, and analytical techniques.
• Advanced English proficiency required. Excellent communication, analytical, accuracy, and process improvement skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Medical manufacturing industry experience.
• CMA, CPCA, or CCA certification.
