Construction Manager IV (Engineering)

Salary: $175,000 - $225,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the responsible-in-charge for municipal public works and community infrastructure projects.
• Lead project teams, including inspection staff and support personnel, ensuring quality review of all deliverables.
• Manage agency client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for city staff and department directors.
• Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedule progress, and equipment utilization, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Enforce compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and public agency standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Valid California PE license and/or CCM certification required.
• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience on municipal or public infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or Lead Construction Manager on projects in Orange County.
• Ability to travel locally with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work onsite at client locations.

Nice to have

• Holding both PE and CCM/PMP certifications is strongly preferred.
