What you will do

• Define and advocate for technical strategy and operational processes for the Deal Reporting team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to manage technical risks and ensure sustainability.
• Act as a force-multiplier by setting high standards for code reviews, design, and technical documentation.
• Ensure system availability through robust monitoring, alerting, and on-call rotation participation.
• Mentor team members through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
• Design and launch complex backend systems to support international loan funding operations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Spain (visa sponsorship available).
• 7+ years of experience designing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of Spark and its inner workings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with task orchestration systems like Airflow or Temporal.
