What you will do

• Serve as the single-threaded product owner for the bank's deposit products, loan originations, and banking operations.
• Drive the operationalization of a de novo bank, ensuring regulatory readiness and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Define and execute the deposit product roadmap, scaling from launch to a multi-billion-dollar deposit base.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to embed regulatory standards into product design from day one.
• Design data flows and integration points between the bank and the broader Affirm consumer ecosystem.
• Communicate strategy and priorities to senior leadership and the Bank Board to build cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 6+ years of product management experience in complex, ambiguous environments.
• Proven experience in banking, deposits, or lending, including understanding of regulatory landscapes.
• Strong technical fluency in system design, data models, and API architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
• Exceptional communication skills for distilling complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with de novo bank launches or early-stage bank buildouts.
• Experience scaling deposit products like high-yield savings accounts or CDs.
• Familiarity with BNPL, neobanking, or platform products.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools like Claude or Cursor.
