What you will do

• Define the long-term roadmap and vision for DFA APIs to provide a competitive edge for carriers.
• Serve as a thought leader in industry working groups to shape IRI Digital First for Annuities standards.
• Engage with annuity carriers and distributors to identify friction points and design API solutions.
• Author detailed technical specifications for complex, highly configurable API workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure the API layer is scalable and developer-friendly.
• Partner with sales and marketing to evangelize the product and close new customers.

Requirements

• Proven experience owning enterprise software products in high-touch direct sales markets.
• Background in highly concentrated enterprise markets such as Insurance, Fintech, or Healthtech.
• Deep expertise in API-first product development and defining technical requirements for integrators.
• Track record of converting vague market opportunities into concrete, successful products.
• Based in the US/Americas to work effectively with US-based carriers and time zones.

Nice to have

• Domain expertise in the annuity lifecycle and carrier operations.
• Experience building PaaS or "Lego block" style platform software.
• Previous involvement with industry standards bodies like IRI, ISO, or ACORD.
