Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States; onsite

Salary: $55,000–$770,000 per year

What you will do

• Research and compare suppliers, products, and services based on reliability, quality, and cost.
• Select suppliers and prepare and process purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions.
• Schedule and verify deliveries in line with production requirements.
• Build long-term supplier relationships and monitor market trends for products used by the business.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and support other purchasing activities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business or a related field.
• At least two years of clerical or purchasing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including required Excel proficiency.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn purchasing procedures and policies.

Nice to have

• Experience with MRP systems.
• Knowledge of Infor Manufacturing systems.
