Supply Chain Expeditor (Defense Tech)

Location: Amityville, New York (preferred) or remote within the United States; occasional travel of up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $21.63–$40.38 per hour for New York state; other regional ranges may apply based on work location.

What you will do

• Expedite open purchase orders and maintain current, achievable delivery dates.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to support on-time delivery and obtain pricing and schedules.
• Coordinate part requirements and product needs with program management, finance, engineering, material management, and planning teams.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and support timely supplier payments.
• Maintain purchase order, invoice, delivery, change-order, and related procurement records in company systems.
• Prepare requests for quotations and purchase requisitions and support order changes, cancellations, substitutions, and discontinued items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.
• Strong organization, communication, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Availability for the 9/80 first-shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR procurements.
• Previous experience using MRP systems.
