Salary: $25.30–$36.60 per hour.

Steam & Air Solutions develops turbine-drive and shipboard compression equipment used on U.S. Navy ships for propulsion, power generation, air supply, and related applications.

What you will do

• Review purchase requisitions and place orders with approved suppliers.
• Follow up on open orders and awards through completion.
• Evaluate bids, recommend or select suppliers, and support negotiations involving price, delivery, quality, and service.
• Assist senior buyers with reports, expediting, and major-purchase negotiations.
• Compile statistical information and other procurement data.
• Coordinate with accounting to resolve questions about supplier invoices.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, or engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain.
• Knowledge of material management, procurement planning, and procurement processes.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of government contracting practices, FAR, DFARS, contract negotiation, and related regulations is an asset.
