Project Manager II

TL;DR

Project Manager II (Digital Product/Technology Delivery): Lead cross-functional delivery teams and manage software engineering or digital product engagements with an accent on sprint development coordination, scope/cost/schedule ownership, and technical risk/dependency management. Focus on delivering digital strategy and technology implementations on time and within budget while maintaining a prioritized product backlog and clear stakeholder communication.

Location: Work from any location in Virginia, Tennessee, or North Carolina; occasional travel for client visits or training may be required.

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of technology projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budget.
• Own scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the product owner and cross-functional teams to maintain a prioritized product backlog.
• Track milestones, costs, and project metrics; produce periodic status reports.
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and project bottlenecks; incorporate brand, quality, and engineering standards into deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience.
• 2 years of professional project management experience.
• Direct experience in a client-facing project management role.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical delivery teams.
• Experience managing digital product or software development engagements (e.g., mobile app development, DXP implementations, enterprise web redesigns).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSPO, or CAPM certifications.
• Working knowledge of enterprise CMS/DXP platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, Optimizely).
• Experience with atomic design process through technical implementation.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Healthcare digital initiative experience or consulting experience in IT/digital strategy.
