Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Toronto office (Hybrid)

What you will do
- Act as the lead systems engineering authority for satellite programs, ensuring design integrity and mission readiness.
- Translate mission objectives into technical direction covering architecture, interfaces, and verification planning.
- Lead system-level design and integration across spacecraft subsystems to ensure whole-system performance.
- Partner with program management, product assurance, and suppliers to align technical execution and manage risks.
- Lead technical reviews, trade studies, and anomaly investigations with clear recommendations.
- Mentor engineering teams and improve systems engineering practices to increase predictability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in space systems engineering or spacecraft development.
- Demonstrated experience delivering through at least one full satellite-level program lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering standards, requirements management, and technical governance.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through high-pressure program milestones.
- Excellent technical writing and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with constellation-level systems or multi-satellite programs.
- Technical leadership experience in spacecraft subsystems like software, RF, or avionics.
- Knowledge of FMECA, FDIR, or reliability engineering practices.
- Experience applying AI-enabled tools to improve systems engineering workflows.
