What you will do

• Architect flexible, performant data models to create single sources of truth across key business domains.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure for reporting and automation using SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Construct semantic data models that enable natural language queries via Cortex Analyst.
• Develop documented playbooks, reusable templates, and semantic model libraries for customer teams.
• Conduct technical workshops to upskill customer data and analytics teams on AI development.
• Provide actionable technical feedback and signal to Cortex product and research teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including CTEs, window functions, and incremental pipeline patterns.
• Experience with Python and dbt for building production data pipelines.
• Daily use of an AI coding assistant (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) as a primary development tool.
• Demonstrable experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex (Analyst, Agents, Search, Dynamic Tables).
• Proficiency with Airflow or other orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, or HRIS.
