TL;DR

Head of Government Affairs (Digital Health): Leading public policy and government affairs strategies across UK and EU markets with an accent on building trusted relationships with policymakers and regulators. Focus on shaping the external regulatory environment for online prescribing, telemedicine, and patient access.

Location: Remote (UK & EU). Compensation is specified for Ireland-based candidates, but the role is open to candidates in other European locations.

Salary: €145K – €165K (Ireland) + Equity

What you will do

  • Lead government affairs and public policy activities across the UK and EU, including Germany, France, Ireland, and Spain.
  • Build and maintain relationships with health ministries, EU institutions, patient organizations, and industry coalitions.
  • Develop advocacy strategies for online prescribing, telemedicine, pharmacy policy, and AI in healthcare.
  • Monitor legislative and political developments to provide strategic business implications and recommendations to leadership.
  • Represent the company in external forums, roundtables, and serve as a spokesperson on policy issues.
  • Support market-entry and expansion planning for new European geographies through stakeholder mapping and risk assessment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government affairs or public policy within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or tech industries.
  • Demonstrated experience working with European healthcare systems and EU institutions across multiple markets.
  • Advanced degree in public policy, international relations, political science, law, or economics.
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance policy analysis and stakeholder intelligence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing executives and regulators.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in German, French, or Spanish.
  • Familiarity with GLP-1 obesity policy, the EU AI Act, or the European Health Data Space.
  • Prior experience as a sole practitioner before scaling a team.
