TL;DR
Technical Project Manager II: Directing rocket vehicle integration activities and coordinating engineering, test, and operations to drive an optimized manufacturing flow with an accent on build sequence/scheduling decisions, off-nominal triage, and risk mitigation. Focus on owning the end-to-end build flow, reporting progress and recovery planning to leadership, and delivering verification artifacts to transfer the rocket into operational service.

What you will do
- Develop tools that help production teams coordinate day-to-day activities.
- Coordinate a multi-functional group across design, manufacturing, test engineering, and supply chain to enable successful rocket integration.
- Make informed decisions on build sequence and schedule to optimize efficiency and meet project timelines.
- Triage off-nominal and discrepant situations and provide engineering direction to keep production moving.
- Own the end-to-end build flow, including progress/challenges reporting, recovery planning, and continuous improvement.
- Mitigate risks and manage impacts; collaborate to deliver required verification artifacts for transfer into operational service.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering; physics; or other engineering/manufacturing core coursework.
- 2–4 years of experience designing/developing/supporting complex engineered products.
- 1+ years of project management or system integration experience.
- Ability to lead and manage small teams in fast-paced hardware and flight projects.
- Demonstrated ability with project management status skills, including logic-linked scheduling and budget/schedule variance tracking and reporting to leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trusting, effective, and inclusive working relationships.
Nice to have
- Experience with budget and Cost Account Management such as EVM.
- Experience with risk management, configuration management, and requirements management.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering/production engineering and vehicle integration and test.
- Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle.
- Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance systems.
