Thermal Designer (Aerospace): Leading the thermal development and verification of spacecraft subsystems with an accent on thermal architecture, modeling, and hardware testing. Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Toronto office (Hybrid)
Salary: $100,622 - $150,622 CAD

What you will do
- Lead thermal development of spacecraft subsystems from concept through flight qualification.
- Design and evaluate thermal control solutions including conductive, radiative, and passive management.
- Develop and maintain thermal models to predict performance across all mission phases.
- Plan and execute thermal test campaigns to validate performance and reduce technical risk.
- Collaborate with systems, RF, electrical, and manufacturing teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of thermal engineering methods and verification practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience developing thermal solutions for complex mechanical or aerospace systems.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermo-optical radiation, and spacecraft thermal environments.
- Experience with thermal analysis platforms such as Simcenter Space Systems Thermal or Thermal Desktop.
- Experience with CAD platforms like Onshape, Creo, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Must be comfortable operating in a hands-on development environment involving prototyping and testing.
Nice to have
- Experience with TVAC, thermal balance, or environmental qualification testing.
- Familiarity with ESA ECSS, NASA, or equivalent aerospace thermal standards.
- Eligibility for P.Eng. licensure in a Canadian jurisdiction.
- Experience supporting hardware transition from development into production.
