What you will do
- Design electrical subsystems for high-power electron beams, including high-voltage pulsed power and trigger systems.
- Develop coil drivers, power supplies, data acquisition, and telemetry systems.
- Manage hands-on prototyping, including working with suppliers and manufacturers for rapid component production.
- Assemble and test hardware in the lab environment.
- Collaborate with pulsed power and physics leads to ensure system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Experience with high-voltage (kV) and high-power PCB design and testing.
- Proficiency with power semiconductors, timing, and synchronization.
- Experience with instrumentation, firmware, and system hardening for noisy environments.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE/LTspice or Comsol.
