What you will do

• Design electrical subsystems for high-power electron beams, including high-voltage pulsed power and trigger systems.
• Develop coil drivers, power supplies, data acquisition, and telemetry systems.
• Manage hands-on prototyping, including working with suppliers and manufacturers for rapid component production.
• Assemble and test hardware in the lab environment.
• Collaborate with pulsed power and physics leads to ensure system performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience with high-voltage (kV) and high-power PCB design and testing.
• Proficiency with power semiconductors, timing, and synchronization.
• Experience with instrumentation, firmware, and system hardening for noisy environments.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE/LTspice or Comsol.
