What you will do

  • Manage full end-to-end payroll processing, including statutory filings, payments, and compliance for the Japanese region.
  • Act as a subject matter expert while collaborating with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Implement and optimize payroll processes to improve productivity and data quality.
  • Mentor and support payroll specialists within the global operations team.
  • Provide backup support for regional managers during absences.
  • Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Japan
  • Fluent English proficiency required
  • Proven experience in payroll management and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI and automation tools effectively.
