TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Ecommerce): Identifying, recruiting, and developing strategically relevant sellers to build and grow the marketplace organization with an accent on seller acquisition and process definition. Focus on driving marketplace rollouts, optimizing operations through AI and automation, and managing high-potential business partnerships.

Location: Hybrid (Munich, Germany). 60% onsite / 40% home office.

Salary: €69,500 - €84,900 EUR

What you will do

  • Identify and recruit new sellers and assess the relevance of their product portfolios.
  • Build and manage a seller pipeline to consistently meet or exceed objectives for seller count and SKU growth.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies in collaboration with high-potential sellers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive marketplace rollouts in new countries.
  • Define operational processes and drive scalability using AI and automation tools.
  • Support the onboarding of strategic sellers and manage business partner relationships.

Requirements

  • B2 proficiency in German and English.
  • 2+ years of experience in Seller, Vendor, Purchasing, or Category Management, ideally in FMCG or e-commerce.
  • BA/BS or graduate degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing business partners in a retail or marketplace environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and intercultural competence.
  • Must be based in Munich, Germany (Hybrid setup).

  • Experience with Mirakl software.
