Location: Onsite in Torrance, CA (with eventual relocation to Long Beach, CA)

Salary: $109,240 - $150,210 USD

What you will do

  • Manage employee relations intake, conduct workplace investigations, and provide resolution recommendations.
  • Partner with managers and Legal to resolve performance issues, workplace conflicts, and policy interpretations.
  • Administer Leave of Absence programs, workplace accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Draft and implement People policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop reporting and organizational health insights to identify workplace trends and reduce risk.
  • Coordinate immigration case administration in partnership with external counsel and vendors.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
  • Experience independently managing employee relations and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Deep knowledge of California employment practices and workplace compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering leave of absence, workplace accommodations, or similar employee programs.
  • Proven track record of partnering with Legal on compliance and high-risk employee relations matters.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential employee information.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting multi-state employee populations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, Jira, Power BI, or similar operational technologies.
  • Experience developing workforce insights, dashboards, or organizational health metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
