Principal Test Engineer (ATE)

Salary: $136,880–$205,000 per year, plus additional cash bonuses and performance-based compensation.

What you will do

• Develop ATE test solutions for semiconductor characterization, production, and wafer sort using Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne platforms.
• Design advanced ATE hardware for high-speed testing.
• Create test plans and methodology documentation aligned with product specifications.
• Collaborate with DFx and design teams on testability, test plans, yield, and test methodologies.
• Convert test patterns from design simulation environments into ATE formats.
• Optimize test flows, reduce test time, improve yields, and release production test programs with product engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Expertise in test program development on Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne tester platforms.
• Professional experience with ATE testing, test methodology, silicon processes, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, Perl, Python, and Linux.
• Experience testing high-speed NRZ/PAM4 interfaces and understanding scan and MBIST DFT methodologies.
• Ability to design complex, high-performance ATE hardware and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
