TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack): Developing and optimizing the US and Canada regional customer experiences with an accent on technical direction, architecture, and cross-team initiatives. Focus on implementing AI-native engineering practices, improving system reliability, and mentoring engineers to scale the platform.
Location: Hybrid (Seattle, WA). In-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly (typically three days a week).
Salary: $208,000 – $260,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Own the technical direction and architecture for US and Canada regional experiences across web and mobile surfaces.
- Lead large, cross-team initiatives and partner with product, design, and analytics leaders to shape roadmaps.
- Establish AI-native engineering as a durable practice, owning automation portfolios and standards.
- Evolve engineering excellence standards regarding reliability, observability, security, and quality.
- Mentor engineers at multiple levels through design and code reviews to raise the overall engineering bar.
- Remain hands-on with TypeScript, React Native, Java/Kotlin, and Go.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including leading large, multi-team initiatives end-to-end.
- Advanced expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or Go.
- 4+ years of React or React Native development experience.
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, web, native apps, and distributed-systems concepts.
- Experience utilizing AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Must be based in or able to work from the Seattle, WA office to meet hybrid requirements.
