What you will do

• Drive end-to-end technical initiatives across the full stack, from API and data design to frontend experience.
• Architect and build scalable, secure, cloud-native services using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and React.
• Spend approximately 70% of time coding while setting the technical direction for the team.
• Lead the design of complex features and mentor engineers through challenging programming and design problems.
• Integrate AI-powered features into production and evaluate their impact using specific performance metrics.
• Champion engineering quality through automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing online SaaS applications with full-stack expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot and React with TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience building and consuming web APIs (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL).
• Deep understanding of the full SDLC and software architecture processes.
• Proven technical leadership skills, including running design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be based in Mountain View, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating GenAI/LLM capabilities in production.
• Knowledge of production observability and instrumentation (metrics, logging, tracing).
• Strategic business acumen to connect engineering decisions to customer outcomes.
