What you will do

• Architect and maintain MongoDB Atlas and non-Atlas environments to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Design disaster recovery strategies, including backup, restore, and multi-region failover.
• Optimize database performance and query execution to support application development teams.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and GitOps for database automation.
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and mentor technical teams on database standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 4+ years of experience as a MongoDB DBA, including 4+ years with MongoDB Atlas.
• Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem (EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, Lambda).
• Proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD, and containerized workloads (Kubernetes).
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, CDC, and enterprise data integration platforms.
• Familiarity with infrastructure observability at enterprise scale.
