What you will do

• Administer and maintain production and non-production database environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability, responding to incidents.
• Perform routine maintenance including backups, restores, patching, and index optimization.
• Troubleshoot performance issues related to queries, indexing, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments.
• Contribute to automation initiatives using Terraform and CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in database administration or engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production.
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues and supporting live production systems.
• English proficiency required for screening and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS (RDS) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
