DBA Manager (PostgreSQL)

Location: Hybrid in Limassol or Tbilisi

What you will do

• Lead DBA teams by prioritizing work, coordinating tasks, and supporting team development.
• Maintain stable, highly available PostgreSQL clusters and deploy new database instances and clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability solutions using PostgreSQL technologies.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Automate routine database administration and develop database management utilities.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues in high-load production environments.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and at least 5 years of database administration experience.
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python for automation and scripting.
• Strong understanding of high availability, backup, and recovery concepts.
• Experience with database monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and production PostgreSQL clusters.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Git and experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience working in Agile and cross-functional environments.
