Senior Underwriter / Underwriting Specialist, Energy

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: $92,000–$127,000 per year, with 25% bonus potential.

What you will do

• Review, analyze, accept, and decline Energy Casualty risks to support profitable underwriting.
• Underwrite and select new business and manage the existing renewal book.
• Use underwriting tools to determine classifications, rates, and premium charges.
• Apply coverage forms, exclusions, policy language, and state cancellation and non-renewal requirements.
• Build relationships with producers, monitor portfolio profitability, and evaluate competitor pricing and forms.
• Provide technical assistance and training to underwriting staff while contributing to audits, meetings, and business projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Energy Casualty underwriting experience.
• Technical underwriting expertise demonstrating increasing responsibility.
• Marketing, relationship-building, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Four-year college degree and/or CPCU or similar designation preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• US work authorization is required. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
