Manager, Data Analytics (Fraud)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week

Salary: CAD 120,000–150,000 annually, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts while providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Analyze payments fraud data across scams, chargebacks, and promo abuse.
• Own and evolve metrics for fraud-system performance, operational effectiveness, and customer friction.
• Formulate hypotheses, design and evaluate product experiments, and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
• Partner with program managers, product managers, engineers, and operations on fraud-prevention strategies and roadmaps.
• Use AI tools and agentic workflows to improve the speed, quality, and scale of fraud analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar full-time professional role.
• 2–3 years of people management experience, including coaching and developing analysts.
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts such as A/B testing, probability theory, and forecasting.
• Experience developing analytical frameworks, conducting analyses, and communicating recommendations to non-technical audiences.
• Experience using AI tools, LLM-assisted analysis, agentic workflows, or AI-powered tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience in fraud, risk, trust and safety, fintech, or adversarial analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, economics, or another quantitative field.
