Manager, Data Analytics (Fraud Analytics): Lead and develop a team of analysts while applying data science and analytics to drive rapid decision-making across ’s Transaction Integrity program with an accent on fraud, scams, chargebacks, and promo abuse. Focus on building fraud-system expertise, evolving performance and effectiveness metrics, and leveraging AI/agentic workflows to accelerate analytical output and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Location: Burnaby, BC, Canada
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 (base)

What you will do
- Lead and develop a team of analysts with mentorship, technical guidance, feedback, and career development.
- Own and evolve metrics to evaluate fraud system performance, operational effectiveness, and customer friction.
- Become an expert in Payments Fraud data (scams, chargebacks, promo abuse), customer experience, and policy.
- Formulate hypotheses, design and evaluate product experiments, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
- Partner with program and product managers to define and execute fraud prevention strategies and roadmaps.
- Support SQL-heavy analyses, data quality investigations, and complex modeling; leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate fraud analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a data analyst role (or equivalent full-time experience), including 2–3 years of people management experience.
- Strong SQL proficiency; working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Expertise in statistical concepts such as A/B testing, probability theory, and forecasting in real-world fraud/risk contexts.
- Proven ability to translate stakeholder discussions into hypotheses, analytical frameworks, analyses, and clear recommendations.
- Strong data storytelling skills (data visualization and technical writing) to communicate with non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., LLM-assisted analysis or agentic workflows) to improve analytical productivity and quality.
