What you will do
- Define the shift from request/response to a subscription-based, ordered event-stream model for the API.
- Establish reliability and performance expectations for AI coding agents and high-scale enterprise customers.
- Identify and close API parity gaps to ensure full programmatic access to all UI features.
- Design a sustainable consumption-based pricing model that recovers costs and incentivizes efficiency.
- Prioritize developer needs by analyzing customer engagement, feedback, and market trends.
- Communicate product vision through executive briefings, blog posts, and developer community channels.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product/project management or software development (or 6+ years with a Bachelor's degree).
- 2+ years of deep expertise in developer tools and workflows.
- Proven experience building and shipping APIs or event-driven platforms at scale.
- Experience delivering product roadmaps and status updates to executive leadership.
- Must be based in Ontario, Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumption-based, usage-based, or metered pricing models.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, streaming systems, or real-time delivery (webhooks, pub/sub, SSE, WebSocket).
- Success partnering with Engineering, Finance, Billing, and Sales to drive outcomes.
- Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries to solve complex technical problems.
