What you will do

• Lead the design and layout of automatic fire sprinkler systems according to NFPA standards and local codes.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, system sizing, and generate fire suppression specifications for water-based systems.
• Act as the owner's representative during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Conduct field surveys and site walks to verify installation quality and code compliance.
• Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to support permitting and project approvals.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers to support their professional development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fire protection system design or consulting, specifically with automatic sprinklers and fire pumps.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, or similar industry-standard tools.
• Must be based in or relocate to Phoenix, Arizona.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25.

Nice to have

• NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Certification (Level II or higher strongly preferred).
• Experience with semiconductor facility fire protection.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
