What you will do

• Lead the design of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm networks, and smoke/leak detection (VESDA) using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Interface with client counterparts and local code officials to ensure designs meet IFC, IBC, and NFPA standards.
• Develop technical solutions for toxic gas detection, smoke modeling, and explosion prevention in hazardous environments.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, taking ownership of hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and detailed specifications.
• Collaborate within a 3D BIM environment to integrate life safety systems with mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Manage project schedules, estimate resource needs, and mentor junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional design experience utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA codes (70, 72, 101, 400) and International Building/Fire Codes.
• Proven experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale industrial projects.
• Ability to attain Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.

Nice to have

• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Design experience within Semiconductor, Data Center, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Prior experience in Design Management and resource oversight.
