Senior Procurement Specialist, US (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Santa Clara, California, United States; full-time office presence five days a week. Frequent domestic and international travel required.

Salary: USD 120,000–160,000 base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end procurement for US operations, from RFQs and quotation evaluation through ordering, delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
• Define sourcing strategies for hardware categories, identify vendors, develop supplier relationships, and monitor market pricing and availability.
• Manage supplier performance, lead times, escalations, returns, and RMA coordination.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, shipment tracking, and delivery issue resolution.
• Support CAPEX planning and procurement forecasting with the Finland-based procurement team and Finance.
• Review and manage procurement contracts and supply agreements, including delivery terms, SLAs, liability, and price escalation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management in hardware, technology infrastructure, or data center environments.
• Experience independently managing the full procurement cycle from purchase request to delivery confirmation and invoice reconciliation.
• Strong negotiation skills for hardware supply agreements, volume pricing, and delivery terms.
• Experience with international shipping, customs clearance, Incoterms, freight forwarding, and cross-border hardware logistics.
• Ability to review and manage commercial contracts and understand associated risks.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English; on-site office work in Santa Clara five days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience procuring GPU servers, AI accelerators, or data center infrastructure hardware.
• Knowledge of server ODMs and OEM procurement across Taiwan, Japan, or mainland China.
• Experience in a scaling startup or high-growth environment.
• Japanese or a major European language.
